Postpartum Therapy
You Don't Have to Love Every Moment of Motherhood
Everyone tells you that becoming a parent will change your life.
Few people tell you just how much.
Maybe you feel overwhelmed by anxiety. Maybe you're constantly questioning whether you're doing enough. Maybe you don't recognize yourself anymore.
Perhaps you're grieving the person you were before becoming a parent while also deeply loving your baby.
All of those things can be true at the same time.
Motherhood isn't supposed to be something you survive alone.
Therapy for the Realities of Postpartum
1 in 7 women who have delivered will experience a postpartum mood disorder (nearly 20%). These rates are even higher for women of color, queer parents, and younger adults.
Postpartum mental health isn't just depression.
It can look like:
You don't have to wait until things feel unbearable to ask for support.
anxiety that never turns off
intrusive thoughts
rage
guilt
perfectionism
relationship struggles
identity loss
difficulty bonding
grief
feeling touched out
resentment
loneliness
My Approach
As a Certified Perinatal Mental Health provider (PMH-C), I combine evidence-based treatment with the understanding that every parent's experience is different.
We'll work together to:
understand what you're experiencing
reduce anxiety and overwhelm
strengthen communication with your partner or chosen supports
rebuild confidence
establish realistic expectations
reconnect with yourself outside of motherhood
practice self-compassion instead of self-criticism
I Understand This Professionally—and Personally
After becoming a mom myself, I experienced firsthand how enormous the postpartum transition can be.
Even as a therapist, I realized that knowledge doesn't make you immune to the emotional, physical, and relational changes that come with becoming a parent.
That experience deepened my commitment to supporting mothers during one of life's biggest transitions.
I truly believe that caring for mothers helps entire families thrive.
